Overview of Pathways’ Youth Services
All youth deserve the opportunity to live in a respectful, caring and supportive environment. Pathways Residential Youth Homes provide temporary housing for youth experiencing a housing crisis and in need of care and shelter. With life's challenges, it can be hard for a young person to stay on track. Pathways Home Base Youth Drop In Centre offers youth down time, answers and support. We are here, first and foremost, to protect the youth who use our Centre. Each month Home Base serves more than 100 homeless youth or at risk between the ages of 13 and 24.

Pathways has embraced the philosophy of Developmental Asset Building (concrete, common sense, positive experiences and qualities essential to raising successful young people. These assets have the power during critical adolescent years to influence choices young people make and help them become caring, responsible adults) as outlined and researched by Search Institute. Throughout all of our programs and services, Pathways has implemented the use of Developmental Asset and all staff are familiar with the 40 assets and the ways in which to build those assets in ourselves, our youth, families and our colleagues. Pathways offers a continuum of care for vulnerable young people through our Youth Development Strategy including our innovative aftercare and outreach programs.
